I have some bad news.
Meta’s Instagram AI does not seem to properly recognize ManyChat.
Five of my accounts were banned. To test what was happening, I created a brand-new account using a new phone, a new mobile connection, and a new email address. The account was running ads and I was replying to messages manually. Everything worked perfectly.
The moment I connected ManyChat, things changed.
To be clear: this is NOT ManyChat’s fault.
Meta’s AI appears to interpret the ManyChat connection as bot activity, automated behavior, or unauthorized automation. My account was disabled because of it.
I managed to get the account restored through an appeal. After that, I deliberately avoided using ManyChat for two days. The account remained active, ads continued running, and there were no issues at all.
Then I connected Instagram to ManyChat again.
Less than an hour later, I was forced through multiple security checks, identity verifications, and prompts asking whether I wanted to reverse recent actions.
For now, I will not be using ManyChat.
Based on my direct experience, Meta’s AI seems to be treating ManyChat as if it were an unauthorized third-party automation tool, even though it is a legitimate and widely used platform.
Again, I want to emphasize this: the problem is not ManyChat. The problem is Meta’s AI making incorrect assumptions.
Note: This was only tested on Instagram. My Messenger, TikTok, and WhatsApp automations continue to run without any issues. So far, the problem appears to be Instagram-specific.
