Hi everyone, I’m looking for help with a persistent issue connecting ManyChat to the Meta Conversions API (CAPI). The integration is currently failing to send events to Facebook Ads.
Situation & Context:
-
Account Age: Both the Meta Business Portfolio and the ManyChat account are only 2 days old.
-
Timeline: The CAPI integration was initially successful and fully functional. However, after deleting the integration and attempting to reconnect it 10 minutes later, the process began failing consistently.
-
Error Messages: During authorization, I receive the generic UI message “Something went wrong” or a specific API validation error
Steps Taken to Resolve:
-
Session Cleanup: We completely removed the ManyChat app from the “Business Integrations” section of the personal Facebook profiles of both administrators to reset the connection/handshake.
-
Manual Connection Method: We attempted the manual connection method in ManyChat (With dataset and token) using a fresh Access Token generated directly in Meta Events Manager.
-
Permissions Logic: During token generation, we selected the “Set up without Dataset Quality API” option to minimize permission-related conflicts common with new accounts.
-
Role Verification: Confirmed that both admins have “Full Control” over the Facebook Page, Ad Account, and all relevant Datasets.
-
Partner & Routing Config: Verified “Partner App” permissions and “Conversation Routing” settings within Meta Business Suite, ensuring ManyChat-IG is set as the default receiver.
Despite these efforts, the integration continues to trigger API data validation errors. Has anyone experienced this kind of “freeze” on a new account after a rapid delete/reconnect cycle? Could this be a specific rate limit or an "eventual consistency" issue on Meta's infrastructure?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve been trying to resolve this with a ManyChat teammate, but I’ve been waiting for a response for over 48 hours now.
