My automation, which has been running fine for weeks, has just sent people a message (facebook only) suggesting they have been subscribed. This isn’t even my message and have no clue where it has come from.

I checked the automation messaging and have attached it. It should send them a free guide. How do i stop this if it isn’t even my message / wording?

^^^ This is not my message???

^^^ it should have sent this.

This automation is fine on Instagram but this was the first time it had been requested on Facebook

Hi, @DonnaM!

Check at the settings if nothing is set up there for Default Reply, Welcome Message or Opt-In Automation:

These are potential causes for this kind of issue.

There is also a chance that something exists in you Meta Business Suite that responds to your followers: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1615627532020480

Hope this helps!

ok thanks for this, looks like sit sthe opt in automation, how do i delete this? Also, why is the trigger word not sending them my message?

nevermind, my keyword was START and I see this will trigger the opt in message and it can’t be edited.

Exactly. START is a “reserved” keyword for the default opt-in automation.

Change that and all should work as expected! 🙌
