Hi! My Instagram Post/Reel Comment automation is not triggering at all.

My Instagram account is connected and has the required permissions. I've already refreshed Instagram permissions through ManyChat, upgraded my account from Free to a paid plan, confirmed the automation is LIVE, and confirmed the trigger is set to respond to ANY comment on a specific Reel.

I've also tested the Reel with another Instagram account, and absolutely nothing happens — no public reply, no DM, and no activity/send is recorded in ManyChat.

Could you please check whether there is an issue with my Instagram/ManyChat connection or the Post/Reel Comment trigger on the backend and reconnect/reset it if necessary?

Thank you!

Nobody here can check your backend unfortunately, this forum is mostly other users, so that part will need a support ticket. But there are three real checks left before you file it:

1. In the Instagram app itself: Settings, then Messages and story replies, then Message controls, and make sure "Allow access to messages" for connected tools is on. ManyChat can hold every permission and still receive nothing if that toggle is off, and it sometimes flips off by itself after IG app updates.

2. Comment triggers fire once per user per post, ever. If the account you tested with had ever commented on that Reel during earlier testing, new comments from it do nothing, silently. Test with an account that has truly never touched that Reel.

3. Open the automation and confirm the step after the trigger is an actual Instagram message block with content in it. An automation can show LIVE with a broken or empty first step, and the result looks exactly like "nothing happens."

If all three pass and a fresh test still records zero activity, it may genuinely not be you: there's an acknowledged Instagram-side event delivery problem that's been affecting comment triggers on and off for months. Share a screenshot of your setup

I appreciate your reply! Everything is connected and “allowed”

I submitted a ticket with customer service, so hopefully they can help me…
