Open AI does not respond to my trigger words

​@Noah L test it in the messaging app.

The Manychat in-app preview does not run external requests, so you can’t really test your scenario there.

I suggest you setup a keyword so you can test your automation in the app (Instagram, Messenger, etc)

Ok got it.

Check in Settings > Logs, see if you see any timeout errors.

If you do, it’s because your N8N is taking more than 10 seconds to respond, and Manychat waits up to 10 seconds for a response.

To solve this, you need to change the logic and use Manychat’s API to send the response back - https://api.manychat.com/swagger#/

Instead of waiting for the 200ok reply, you’ll need to send it with a setCustomFields endpoint (most likely, followed by a call to a sendFlow).

​@Gustavo Boregio when I change the request body on many chat, what am I supposed to do next to call the send flow. Do I go back into n8n and change my ai agent (user message) I’ve been working on this for 2 days and this is my only problem

1. send external request from Manychat to your n8n
2. n8n runs the automation and sends response in the 200 OK message
3. Manychat continues.

You need to change it to:

1. send external request from Manychat to your n8n
2. n8n immediately sends 200 OK response, with no content
3. n8n runs the automation and generates AI response
4. n8n uses Manychat’s API to setCustomField (with the value of the response)
5. n8n uses Manychat’s API to sendFlow
6. Manychat continues

​@Gustavo Boregio Ok after I run it like this, do I just keep everything the same after that?? and how do I go about n8n 200 k with no content? Also this might explain when u first tried this automation I couldn’t get a output in the user field so I tried a different method

Hey ​@Noah L not sure what else you have there, so you’ll need to adapt to your specific scenario.

Most likely the rest of your n8n automation will stay the same, but there’s no way to be sure without looking at what you built!

To do the 200 OK without content, just remove the webhook response step and N8N will automatically send a response.

​@Gustavo Boregio im not really in trouble, I appreciate the effort in trying to help but it seems I’m getting only half of the fix. You sent me the page to change the response body, I got the message from the bot “workflow has started” ok so all I was asking was after that was if the ai agent needed its prompt user changed since the response body doesn’t give me the user_input option. Now the system isn’t reading my test message like before it’s the same response. I’m guessing I can turn the response body back into
