I use many chat to send people to sign up for a free video. Most people access it fine but I get a steady stream of people who have problems. Including “I don’t want to open it in threads”. I don’t send them to threads. Is this IG sending them there instead of my site? Anything I can do about it? Or do I just need to accept that a percentage get glitches??

Hi,
This is a bug happening on Instagram's side. Any kind of link (even sent directly via IG DM) are facing similar problems.
And that's because an Instagram update that forces all links to open into Instagram's internal browser.
To solve it, every user must change this setting on his own IG app:
- Go to your Instagram profile
- Settings
- Site and App Permissions
- Message Links
Manychat is also gathering additional information with Meta, but they can't do much more than that. 🫠
