Stuck in a ghost Instagram connection loop — need a mod/human to help

 

I’ve spent hours trying to fix this myself and I’m hoping someone from the team can point me in the right direction.

 

What happened:

 

• Logged into ManyChat originally, tried a

different login later, got told my Instagram was already connected to another account

• Signed back into the old account via Facebook (I didn’t want to use Facebook login at all, but it was the only way back in)

• Disconnected Instagram from that account — ManyChat shows it as removed

• Checked Instagram > Apps and Websites — nothing listed, confirmed clean on IG’s side

• Also removed ManyChat from my Facebook Business Integrations

• Despite all that, ManyChat still shows Instagram as connected through the OLD method, and every time I try to reconnect via “Via Meta” (needed for the Unified Instagram Onboarding flow), it just loops back to the same Meta screen without completing

 

What I need:

 

• The Instagram connection cleared/reset on the backend so I’m not stuck looping

• To be able to log in and manage this account by email only, not Facebook

• Once clean, to reconnect via the current onboarding flow so “Say hi to new followers” (Follow to DM) actually shows up — right now it’s nowhere in my account (not Automations, not Settings, not templates)

 

I have 3,000+ IG followers with active engagement so eligibility shouldn’t be the blocker — the connection itself is broken.

 

I’ve already tried every self-serve fix I could find (disconnect/reconnect, clearing Facebook integrations, cache clearing, re-attempting Via Meta). Would really appreciate a real person taking a look at the backend rather than more troubleshooting steps, since I’ve been through all of them already. Thanks for any help.

You already follow the correct steps to fix that. Once it didn’t work, you should talk to support.
