I'm hoping someone can help — I'm stuck on a very common issue but can't find a way around it.
I just set up a new ManyChat account and trying to connect the Instagram account. Facebook is already connected and working fine, but when I go through the Instagram connection steps, I keep landing on this screen:
"Your account is already connected to .... Switch Instagram to continue with another account or request access from the owner."
I've already hit Request Sent, but we have no idea which ManyChat account the Instagram is tied to — it was likely set up by someone previously who is no longer with the brand. The actual Instagram account owner (Karena Thek) has confirmed she doesn't have access to that old account either.
I've tried:
✓ Refreshing permissions
✓ Removing ManyChat from Facebook Business Integrations and reconnecting
✓ Toggling "Allow access to messages" on in Instagram settings
✓ Using desktop (not mobile)
Has anyone managed to get this resolved without access to the old ManyChat account? Did ManyChat support help release the IG from the old connection?
