Hi, I’m having a very strange issue with the ManyChat + Meta integration on WhatsApp, and I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar.
This is my situation:
-
I run WhatsApp ads.
-
Messages are coming in correctly.
-
ManyChat is connected as a partner in Meta.
-
Permissions on my personal Facebook account are correct.
-
The WhatsApp number connected to the ad is the correct one.
The main issue is that I seem to have two problems at the same time:
-
In Meta Events Manager, it says the last event received was 13 days ago.
-
Until yesterday at 5 PM, purchases were still being attributed in Ads Manager, but since then Purchase events have stopped showing there as well.
The strange part is that the connection does not seem completely broken, because I ran several tests and found that:
-
AddToCart works
-
Purchase does not work
-
OrderCreated does not work
So it looks like ManyChat is still sending something to Meta, because the cart event goes through, but purchase-related events do not.
What I already tested:
-
Checked that the WhatsApp number used in the ad is the correct one.
-
Confirmed that ManyChat appears as a partner in Meta.
-
Checked permissions in my personal Facebook account.
-
Ran Refresh Permissions.
-
Disconnected and reconnected WhatsApp in ManyChat.
-
Confirmed that the Dataset ID matches the one in Meta.
-
Tested with a brand new empty automation using only the event node.
-
Tested Purchase with a fixed simple value (1 USD / 1 ARS) and correct currency.
-
Tested OrderCreated as well.
-
Turned Meta event-sharing options off and on again.
Result of all those tests:
-
AddToCart goes through
-
Purchase does not
-
OrderCreated does not
-
In Events Manager, it still shows the last event as being 13 days ago
So my question is whether:
-
there is any known issue specifically with purchase-related events in WhatsApp CAPI,
-
anyone has seen a case where AddToCart works but Purchase does not,
-
or something may have broken between ManyChat / app / API / dataset even though the general connection still appears alive.
Any insight would be appreciated, because I’ve already tested many things and still can’t find a clear explanation.
