Problems with connecting Facebook Messenger

I want to connect Facebook Messenger with Manychat, but there seems to be a problem with the connection.

If I go to the settings and click on “messenger - connect”, I see the correct page to connect (I also have the necessary permissions), but I cant connect it, I can only send a connection request for the page to another page admin. Why is that?

I also tried to reconnect the facebook page with manychat but as soon as I go to the connect-window for facebook messenger, the button says “request send” and “ Your request is pending XXXXXXX`s approval. They can easily access it in their Email inbox or under the account`s Settings → Team Members.”.

The request however was never send or received by the account in question, but I cant pull the request back or resend it.

Thank you for your response. How do I contact ManyChat support? I don’t see a phone number of email address on the site.

 

Hi ​@Michael Karlfeldt , you can contact them through the help center: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us You can use its help chatbot - which is really good - however if the chatbot answer does not help you  usually it will give you the chance to rise a ticket with support.

This is the issue I am facing. I do not know who this person is that I need approval of to log into my messenger.

Your request is pending Loreto Pulanco`s approval. They can easily access it in their Email inbox or under the account`s Settings → Team Members.

The "Request Access" button means your Facebook Page is already connected to another ManyChat account. The "pending XXXXXXX's approval" message is ManyChat waiting for whoever owns that other account to approve the transfer request.

How to fix it:

1. If you previously connected it under a different profile — Log into that old ManyChat account and disconnect the page, or approve the transfer from there

2. If someone else connected it (former employee, agency, etc.) — Contact them directly to request a transfer of ownership. They're currently the owner of the ManyChat account linked to your page

3. If you can't reach them or don't know who it is — Contact ManyChat support. They can help if you prove you own the Facebook page

The page has to be fully disconnected from the old ManyChat account before you can connect it to a new one. That's why the request is stuck , it's waiting on whoever controls that other account.
