Question about email request in DM

I would like to use automation for a post, which would require the follower to provide their email address, but it seems that this is a mandatory requirement. Let me explain:

It seems that the user is forced to send me their email address in order to receive something in return.

In automations, I would like the email request to the follower not to be mandatory or, in any case, to be optional, even if something is provided in return.

Because it seems that the flow is:

DM from the follower

Email request to receive the link or tool.

Am I missing something?

Oh I see!
It is possible to do so, but you’ll need to create your automation from scratch.

Go to the automation tab → select the button +New automation → + Start from Scratch → Start with a blank

 

After that, you’re going to see your flow builder. Select the trigger you want to use.

Following your example, select the “user comment on post/reel” trigger → add a message block with a button to open the 24-hour window → add a message block asking them if they want to share their email address.

If so, add a collection block to keep the email on Manychat, if not, send them the link

    Are you using the “quick automations” template?
    This one 👇🏼


    If so, you can send the link without asking their email.
    The “They will get” section you have an option to ask (or not) for their email to send the link

     

     

    Keep it disable to not request their email to send the link.

    Thank you very much, but that's not what I meant. Please forgive me, but I'm Italian and my English may not be very good.

    I want to ask for an email address, but I don't want it to be mandatory in order to receive something in return.

    I try it and work ! I make some correction to the waiting action.

    But now...if i want to save it for other post?

    I duplicate it and change the action and text?

    I duplicate the previous automation, edit with new keyword and link but i don’t know why i can’t go LIVE.

    It’s LIVE?

     

    Yes...sorry it’s live but i don’t see the red label LIVE in the automation dashboard.

    I tried to delete this post but couldn't. Sorry.

    You only see the red label “live” when you use “quick automations”.
