Question about Event OTN Instagram (One-Time Notification)

Hi everyone,

Quick question about OTN Messaging (Instagram)

I have an automation where users click "Yes, remind me!" for a livestream. A Smart Delay then waits about a week, and sends them the livestream link just before it starts.

Since the user explicitly requested the reminder and the message is directly related to that request, is this compliant with Meta's current policies, or do I need to use a specific message type? And being built this way, will the automation activate after the week and send out the OTN Reminder?

Thanks!

Hi @MK_CapeTown - sadly there is no OTN feature for Instagram, so your message will not send as it is outside of the 24-hr window and would not be compliant with Meta’s policies.

Your best bet here would be to gather either their email or SMS number within the flow and get them to opt in for livestream notifications that way.

Thanks so much for your quick response, @Mel E. Okay we will look at different options.
