Hi everyone
My "Say hi to new followers" (Follow to DM, beta) automation is LIVE but has not triggered once. It still shows 0 Runs / 0 Unique Contacts, even though the Instagram account has gained new followers since I activated it.
Account details:
- Instagram account: @[HANDLE]
- ManyChat Page ID: [PAGE ID]
- Plan: [Free / PRO]
- Region: Poland (EU)
- Automation activated: 3 Nov 2026, around 13:00 CET
What I have already checked:
- The account is an Instagram Professional (Business/Creator) account
- The channel is connected through the new Unified Instagram onboarding flow, and I refreshed the Instagram permissions in ManyChat
- "Allow access to messages" is enabled in the Instagram app settings
- Other Instagram triggers (comments, keywords, DMs) work normally
- The automation is published and LIVE
- I ran a test with a clean personal account that had never followed us before and had not followed any other account using Follow to DM in the past week. The trigger did not fire, and nothing appeared in the automation's activity.
I'm aware of Meta's limits (one Follow to DM per follower, one per user per week across accounts), but a clean test failing and 0 runs from all new followers suggest that follower events are not being delivered to my channel at all.
Any idea how to make it work?
