Say hi to new followers not triggering (DM without link)

Marind

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get the Instagram “Follow to DM” (Say hi to new followers) beta to work, but it still won’t trigger even after a full reset.

What I did:

  • Removed the Instagram connection in Manychat, then reconnected using “Connect via Meta” (the new Unified Instagram onboarding flow).
  • Set up the Quick Automation “Say hi to new followers” and clicked “Go Live”.

What’s happening:

  • When someone follows, no DM is sent.

My question:

  • Is there a way to confirm whether my account is eligible for the beta, or is it only visible when the automation is available?

Hello @Marind ,  right now there is an issue affecting the “Say hi to new followers” feature. Is under investigation. You can track the development in here: https://status.manychat.com/

Hope this helps to understand what is going on.

Cheers!
