Hi all,
I'm a developer working for a business that uses Manychat on its WhatsApp Business number (Cloud API, billed through the Manychat credit line).
The business also wants to send its own transactional messages (session reports to existing clients) from the SAME number through its own app on the WhatsApp Cloud API, with its own payment method, while Manychat keeps running its automations on that number untouched.
Meta's new WhatsApp account model says a business phone number "can be associated with multiple Messaging accounts", each with its own payment method, and the sending app picks the one to bill with the messaging_account_id parameter. Right now a send from the business's own app returns "(#200) You do not have the necessary permissions to send messages on behalf of this WhatsApp Business Account", because the only Messaging account on the number is the one billed by Manychat.
1. Does Manychat support a second Messaging account with the business's own payment method on a number connected to Manychat? Would it affect the Manychat connection, credit line or automations?
2. If yes, how is that second Messaging account created for an existing number: Meta Business Manager, a Manychat setting, or Embedded Signup from another partner?
3. If not, is the Manychat API (sendContent within 24h, sendFlow with a template outside the window) the only supported way for an external system to send from that number?
We do not want to move, re-register or disconnect the number from Manychat under any circumstances.
Thanks!
