I set up automations and added them to a sequence once they finished the automation.

Why do the automations say "stopped" if i never stopped them. I also don't see the option to turn them back on.

Hi @Hollins can you share with us a screen shot of your flow and sequence to understand better the issue you are having. i.e Where exactly says “Stopped”?

Cheers!

Hi @Hollins , thanks for sharing the screenshots — that helps a lot 👍

From what I can see, your sequence messages are scheduled to be sent 2 days after the last interaction. Please keep in mind that on Facebook Messenger you only have a 24-hour messaging window after a user’s last interaction.

Once that 24-hour window has passed:

  • You cannot send regular messages.

  • You can only message users who are subscribed to a Notification Type (e.g.  One-Time Notification, etc.).

Because of this, the sequence messages may appear as “stopped” or won’t send as expected.

What to check / fix:

  1. Open the first message in the sequence

  2. Make sure it is marked as “Outside the 24-hour window”

  3. Select the correct subscription / notification type

  4. Confirm that the users were actually opted in to that notification list

If the contacts are not subscribed to a notification, Messenger will block the delivery — even if the sequence itself is active.

Once you adjust this, the sequence should work as expected.
Hope this helps! 😊

Cheers,
Catalina R.
