Hello ManyChat Community,

I'm experiencing a serious issue with my Instagram automations and I haven't been able to resolve it for over a week.

None of my automations are working — not even the most basic ones, such as sending a message to new followers.

Here is everything I have already tried:

• Refreshed Instagram permissions inside ManyChat
• Reconnected my Instagram account
• Checked triggers and automation settings
• Tested the simplest automation possible (new follower → send message)
• Reviewed troubleshooting steps from the ManyChat community

Since nothing worked, I even deleted another ManyChat account I had and created a completely new one, then connected my Instagram again.

However, the issue persists. Automations still do not trigger at all.

This has been happening for about a week now and it is affecting my ability to communicate with new followers and leads.

Could you please check if there is any issue with my Instagram connection or with the automation triggers on your end?

Please let me know what I should do next.

Thank you for your help.

Hey, @Leonardomartins1234

I’m sorry to hear that 😕

When this happen, usually means that your permissions are not set correctly on Meta.

Please, follow this step by step guide: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281308423452-Instagram-automation-troubleshooting

If, after that, it doesn’t work, you can open a ticket and talk to support here: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/p/get_support_page

This sounds less like your flow setup, and more like an Instagram connection/permission problem.

Since nothing works at all  even simple automations I would check these 3 things again:

  1. In Instagram, make sure Allow access to messages is turned on
  2. In ManyChat, click Refresh Permissions again
  3. In Meta, make sure ManyChat is the default app for conversation routing

ManyChat says Instagram automations can fail if message access is off, permissions need refreshing, or conversation routing is not set to ManyChat.

Also, for “message new followers”, that feature is still beta and only works for accounts connected through the new Unified Instagram onboarding flow. If your account was connected the old way, you may need to reconnect using the new flow.

Since you already tried reconnecting and even made a new ManyChat account, I’d say the next step is:

check message access + conversation routing + connection type first. If all 3 look correct and it still fails, contact ManyChat Support because this does not look like a normal automation setup mistake.
