Ive setup a whatsapp business account as instructed through meta. However, when i download the app on my phone, when i request a verification code, i keep getting ‘whatsapp is temporarily unavailable try again in 1 hour’

chatgpt suggests that i delete the business account in meta

what to do?

*chatgpt suggests ‘remove from API     if number is in Meta’s Whatsapp API, delete it’

Hello @Mikeymike ,
If you plan to use WhatsApp both on manychat and on the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, you’ll need to use the coexistence method. This method is intended for those who are already connected to the WhatsApp Business app and want to integrate manychat.

The help article below provides more information about this method, the requirements, and a step-by-step guide:

Hi

unfortunately I am uk based and uk is not on the list 😫

To send an alert to my regular WhatsApp number : is there an alternative ??

thnx

Are you referring to having a number connected to manychat and, when someone sends a message to that number, receiving a notification on another regular number?

If that's the case, yes, it's possible by creating a specific flow. Please confirm if that's what you mean, and I can give you some tips on how to set it up.

correct!

I have 2 phone numbers. number A was used for setting up manychat. However, manychat seems to have number B registered against my account. I’ve just created a new automation and get this error when i run the automation on my phone (number 😎. The phone number mentioned is number A. My first automation still works.

btw, it seems there is no phone number connected. how to reconnect?

original number A is still there

Hello @Mikeymike ,
Each Manychat account allows only one WhatsApp channel to be connected. Before setting up the automation to send notifications to your number B, you need to resolve the connection issue with the number currently linked to your Manychat account.

The error message indicates that your phone number was removed on Meta’s side. I recommend checking your WhatsApp Manager to see if the number is still connected or if there are any warning messages. Here is the link:

I'm also sharing a helpful Manychat article about WhatsApp integration. It outlines all the necessary checks to connect your account. Please review all the requirements, as any unmet condition may lead to restrictions from Meta:

Como excluo ou troco o número do whatsapp da minha conta manychat?

the phone number A is there, so that seems to be ok. When I forward the chat link to someone on Whatsapp, to start the flow, can that person forward the same chat link to another whatsapp user and the chat flow will work for them? thanks

Regarding your question about the chat link: if you shared only the chat link and it is not connected to a specific flow, the user will be able to send you any message, and it will arrive in your inbox without triggering any flow. Unless you have created and set up a default reply flow — in that case, the default flow will be triggered. This behavior will be the same for anyone who has the link and sends you a message.

However, if you created a flow and, in the trigger settings of that flow, generated a link, when the user clicks on it, their WhatsApp app will open with a pre-filled message (the one you configured). When the user taps “send,” that specific flow will be triggered. If the user shares that link with others, the behavior will remain the same.

As for your WhatsApp number being present in Meta’s WhatsApp Manager: if there are no restriction alerts shown in Meta’s platform, please check whether the messages exchanged on WhatsApp are appearing in the live chat. The warning displayed in Manychat suggests that something might not be working properly, so it’s important to confirm whether the messages are being received. If not, there may be a restriction on Meta’s side, and you’ll need to look into it with their support team.

Thanks for your response.
