Below is my setup. My ideal workflow is to include a link in email broadcast, when user click, will direct to Instagram message and trigger the workflow.
However, after clicking the link, it open Instagram message but didn’t trigger the flow. The Action node & Send Message node both didn’t execute.
I’ve did some research in the forum but cannot find any clue, and I appreciate any sort of help in advance! Thank you!
I think the issue is that the link is opening the Instagram DM, but that alone may not count as the actual event that starts the flow.
So basically, opening the chat is not always the same as completing the referral-link trigger.
A few things I’d check:
test it from an account that has never interacted with your IG before
make sure the person actually sends a message after the chat opens
try the raw referral link directly, outside the email first
test without extra redirects or email link tracking, because sometimes that can break the ref link behavior
make sure the flow is fully published/live
My guess is the email click is opening Instagram correctly, but the referral event is not being passed cleanly, or the user still needs to send a message before Manychat can trigger the flow.

I have checked the items that you have suggested and still fail. I think it maybe a technical issue on my side and have sent a ticket to Manychat, will update here once I hear back from them!
