System perfomance clearification

Umberto

Hello, we'd like some clarification regarding the performance of your systems.
Since we need to activate the chatbot on some pages of large global brands, we want to be cautious and ensure that
by sponsoring a post, the traffic spike can be handled smoothly by correctly activating the chatbot for each
comment, and that each user can receive the direct message according to the automations we configure.
Is there a traffic limit or a limit on the number of users performing actions on the page at the same time?
Does the limit depend on the type of subscription?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.
Sincerely

@Umberto there are no limits on Manychat automations as far as I know (and I’ve had some pages with tons of traffic).

But you do have limits on Meta, Google Sheet and the API (if you’re using them).

Meta: there’s a limit on the comments triggers. I don’t remember exactly the number, but I think it’s about 750 trigger per hour. So, on a super viral page getting more than 10 comments per minute, you’ll likely see Meta throttling. If you need the exact number check Meta’s documentation or with Manychat’s support team.

Google Sheets: if you’re using the Google Sheets integration, it’s limited to 150 requests per minute. In practice for it to run stably I suggest dropping it lower to 20-30 per minute. If you don’t plan to use Google Sheets, then forget about this.

Manychat API: if you’re using Manychat’s API for anything (api.Manychat.com) there is a max requests per second on the endpoints. Most likely, you’re not using anything here either.

So, in summary, if you have ultra-viral posts, responses to comments may slow down to Meta’s limitations.

Other than that, you’re good and won’t have any limitations.
