Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone has run into this before because I’ve gone through pretty much every troubleshooting step I can find and still can’t get TikTok DMs to trigger anything in ManyChat.
I have my TikTok Business account connected to ManyChat and I’m currently on the Pro trial.
My main automation is extremely simple:
TikTok User sends a message → Message contains keyword → TikTok sends reply
The keywords were things like website, site, scale, grow, ecom, start, and dropship.
The flow is published and shows LIVE, the trigger is active, and the message step is configured correctly.
So far I have tested all of the following:
- Confirmed TikTok DMs are set to Everyone
- Refreshed TikTok permissions in ManyChat multiple times
- Disconnected and reconnected the TikTok account twice
- Confirmed the correct TikTok account is connected
- Confirmed the automation itself is LIVE
- Confirmed the trigger itself is LIVE
- Confirmed the trigger is specifically TikTok → User sends a message
- Tested Message contains
- Tested Message contains whole word
- Removed all keywords and tested with only one keyword,
scale - Sent exactly
scalefrom another TikTok account - Tested the Default Reply instead of my custom automation
- Set Default Reply to fire every time and used a basic reply like
test - Turned Default Reply off and back on
- Confirmed there are no incomplete or empty blocks in the automation
- I’m on the Pro trial, so this is not the Free plan keyword/automation limit
- Tested from a completely separate TikTok account
The biggest issue is that ManyChat’s own Preview test does not work either.
When I press Preview, ManyChat tells me to open TikTok and send a specific three-digit code to my account from another TikTok account. I did exactly that from another account and nothing happens. No reply, no automation trigger, nothing.
So at this point it doesn’t seem like a keyword configuration issue because even the official ManyChat Preview code cannot trigger anything.
It seems like TikTok is allowing the DM to reach my TikTok account normally, but ManyChat is either not receiving the incoming message event or is not processing it.
Has anyone had this happen where TikTok shows as successfully connected and permissions refresh successfully, but no incoming TikTok DMs trigger ManyChat at all?
Is there anything else I can reset on the TikTok/ManyChat integration, or does this sound like something that needs to be fixed on ManyChat’s backend?

(the orange box is because I did not publish in this screenshot, but the flow was published before testing)
