Working with support but thought I would ask here. I have gone through the FAQ and help desk documents. Followed the outline, and still same issue.
We are setup as a professional account, both FB and IG. For some reason the automation trigger just wont trigger. Has anyone come across this and found a solution?

Manychat's support team will be able to help you much more in this case. 😅
But, if you don't mind “losing” your Manychat subscribers, you could test removing completely your IG and FB accounts from Manychat (Settings/ [Channels] Instagram):

AGAIN… this will delete all opted-in subscribers for the channel you're removing.
After you reconnect the channel, if the user interacts again with your IG/FB, a new subscriber will be created, but without any previous information.
So, if you have subscribers with relevant saved information to them… better wait for the support team 😉
Now, if there's no harm deleting the subscribers…

After that, wait around 10min to let the process finish and reconnect the channel. There's a chance that it will work.
