Unable to connect Facebook Messenger Page to Manychat – permissions issue

Hello Manychat Community,

I need help connecting my Facebook Business Page to Manychat Messenger automation.

My Facebook Page is "Мөнхөө Эмч Багш doctor Munkhuu" (Page ID: 30187077662523).

Here is what I have already checked:

  • The Page belongs to my active Meta Business Portfolio, "Sain energiin tuv".

  • My Facebook profile has Full Control of both the Business Portfolio and the Page.

  • The correct Facebook account is being used.

  • I have repeatedly attempted to connect Facebook Messenger through Manychat, but the connection does not complete.

  • During authorization, I sometimes encounter missing "Manage your Pages" permissions or an Instagram selection step.

  • I do not need Instagram automation. I only want Facebook Messenger automation.

  • My Manychat account is active, but no Facebook Messenger channel has been connected successfully.

I have already checked Facebook Business Integrations, Page access permissions, and Meta Business settings.

Could someone please explain how to connect Facebook Messenger directly without requiring Instagram, or how to resolve this authorization issue?

I would appreciate specific troubleshooting steps that do not require repeatedly starting the same authorization process.

      Yes, you can connect only Facebook Messenger. Instagram isn’t required. If the Instagram selection step shows up during authorization, you can just continue without selecting an account.

      Since you already checked permissions and Full Control, there are two things I’d look at that aren’t on your list:

      1. Make sure the Page isn’t already connected to another ManyChat account. A Page can only be connected to one ManyChat account at a time, so the connection won’t complete if it’s linked somewhere else.
      2. Do a clean reconnection instead of repeating the same one. Remove ManyChat completely from Facebook Business Integrations, then connect again. When Meta asks for permissions, click Edit settings and make sure your Page is selected and every permission is on, especially “Manage your Pages”.
