Can someone watch this video and help me understand why I can not connect to my IG account to send DM to new followers?

Thanks!

Hi @ryanport93 @LovelyIrishAlan !

I found the solution in another topic shared by @Moz.

Here’s how to do it 👇

  1. When you click the “Update Permissions” button, you’re redirected to business.facebook.com (around second 10 in your video).

  2. Copy the URL from your browser and paste it into a text editor (like Notepad).

  3. Replace every occurrence of “IG” in the URL with “FB”,
👉 except for the part that contains “config” — don’t change that one!

  4. Copy your new modified URL and paste it back into your browser.

That’s it! You can now connect to Facebook, and everything should work perfectly!

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue :-(

The AI support assistant says it’s because there’s a mismatch between my Meta Business account and the Instagram account I’m trying to connect — but there isn’t.

I opened a support ticket, we’ll see...

Hey, @LovelyIrishAlan, @Davy and @ryanport93
Manychat has already escalated it to the team and they’re actively investigating it! As soon as they have more information or a solution, they’ll be in touch!

It might be a good idea to redirect users to business.facebook.com and allow Facebook account login

I just tried that @ryanport93 @Davy and in a sense it worked because I went through the whole login/connection process with Meta Business and it said “Your account is not connected to Manychat” then when it redirected me back to Manychat, I go through the process New Automation > Say hi to New Followers > and then I still get the “Update your Instagram permissions to say hi to new followers” screen that wants me to update permissions.
Any suggestions or help on what to do now?
