Urgent: Facebook Ad Auto-Reply Button Not Working Properly

Dear ManyChat Support Team,

I am currently experiencing an issue with the Facebook Ad Comment Auto-Reply feature in ManyChat.

Normally, when setting up the auto-reply for a Facebook ad, the system allows me to choose Partner App → ManyChat → select specific flow. However, now the button no longer functions properly — instead of showing the standard ManyChat selection interface, it only displays a JSON code block.

This means the auto-reply function cannot be linked to any ManyChat flow, which has disrupted our ad automation process.

I have already tried reauthorizing the Facebook page and ManyChat connection, but the issue still persists. Could you please help check and advise how to fix this as soon as possible?

I had the same issue time to times, but after clear the cache and cookies, it works properly.

Have you tried that?

I’ve tried clearing the cache and cookies, but the issue still persists. It has already been two days, and I still can’t set the ad reply to connect with ManyChat.

I’ve also tried logging in with another person’s account and using a different computer, but the same issue occurred. This seems to be a side effect caused by a recent Meta update, and I believe the ManyChat team needs to communicate with Meta to confirm and resolve it.

is there a Meta update that’s recently public? would love to be able to reference it. Well, you’re not alone in this. I need to fix this ASAP. I just spun up a whole initiative based on the premise that this worked. (And it did literally five days ago...)

Based on my investigation, it seems that this issue may be caused by a recent Meta API update. According to the latest Graph API and Marketing API changelogs (v24.0, released in October 2025), Meta has made several structural and permission changes related to ad placements and third-party integrations.

It’s possible that ManyChat has not yet adapted to the new API changes or permission requirements, which might be why the “Partner App → ManyChat → Select Flow” option has stopped functioning and now only shows JSON code instead.

I’ve talked to Manychat support, and this issue has already been reported to Meta. They’re now waiting for Meta’s response.

Please can you enable JSON code - it works with the manual JSON setup as a template but I can’t access ManyChat payload for new automations.

It somehow resolved itself for about a week and then it stopped working again. I don't think this is a reliable feature and it needs to be removed from Manychat.
