Urgent: Instagram Block Box Before Bot Flow

Instagram ads are no longer clicking into the bot flow directly from ads.  Even with all the correct settings and partner ads chosen.

Meta has stopped the lead with a pop up screen which causes most of the leads to bail.  This is costing everyone a lot of money.  The IG ads used to be a single tap redirect from the ad to the flow.  Now Meta is presenting the user with this:

Most at this point leave the ad bc they don’t know what to do.

Very few will tap on ‘message streampremiere’ which actually takes them to the bot flow.

Anyone left could send a message in the blank box which also doesn’t send them to their message they just sent. It gives them a fast pop up at the bottom of their screen to view what they just sent. At that point I have to then try to prompt them with a keyword to get into the bot flow.  Most don’t respond and try.

All of these choices totally defeat the purpose of these efforts we are making and end up discouraging leads from completing the task.  They don’t know what to do with that pop up from Meta. Having a single click from the ad to the flow before is the only way these leads will work.

PLEASE someone from ManyChat help make the ads click to the flow again without this confusing interference from Meta.

@Raquel C this is going to require ManyChat speaking to Meta to fix this.  This is not a user based issue.  This is Meta changing the behavior of how they handle dm’s for IG ads.  We all need ManyChat to be our champion to help the community.  There are countless customers that think their automations in ManyChat aren’t working and they don’t even know it’s not their fault.

All the information necessary to investigate the problem is outlined above.  It’s very detailed.   The screen shot is what the user is left to try to figure out.  Meta used to automatically redirect a lead from the ad straight into the IG dm and start the automation.  Meta is putting a step in between and presenting that message box (screenshot above).  In the past, there was never a message box or step, it was seamless.  Just like messenger leads.

Under this, the user has to  tap ‘Message sreampremiere’ to get to the automation.  That creates so much confusion as most see the send message box.  This step doesn’t belong if the parter app is chosen so that’s issue 1.  Navigating where to press correctly is issue 2.  If they end up using the send message box things spin off in another direction as explained above. @

This issue is a huge problem for everyone in the community.  I’m sure there are many MC users that don’t understand this is happening and it’s causing lost ad dollars and lack of faith in using MC by not seeing the results bc they are blind to actual problem which are leads bailing bc they can’t see that Meta threw up a block.

There are other users tagged above who have also dealt with the same problem and created their own posts regarding the same issue months ago.
