The last 5 days my opt in to message lists on messenger has broken. No-one has ‘opted in’. When looking at the facebook inbox side of things, people are clicking the button which sends the ‘get updates’ message from their end. But when looking at the manychat logs, this ‘get updates’ message does not appear, and none of my inquirers over the past 5 days have opted in.

 

I have attacghed screenshots showing how this conversation looks on both the facebook and manychat side of thigns. This is not an isolated things and is effecting everyone who messages my page.

This has been happening on my collegues accounts as well. Is anyone else encountering this problem or know of a fix?

It is happing to me as well still is not working I wrote to support, they mentioned facebook has some issues and they are trying to fix it. I tested today and still nothing 😓

Any update on this? Im still having the issue too. Nothing is posted on the Known Issue Tracker and no issue is showing on the status page https://status.manychat.com/ 
 

Yeah manychat support mentioned they are aware of it and need facebook to fix it, so no timeline. Can’t see anything on manychat or meta status updates re. this being an issue tho which is a bit concerning.

Hi all, has this been fixed for anyone yet? I ‘m still facing this issue since last week and no improvement so far. 

Same problem here, I only really noticed it today, but it hasn't been working for a week now.

Nope it still isnt working for me. Only update i have recieved from manychat is that ‘we have escalated this directly to Meta’ but that was 10 days ago.
 

This is highly concerning. There is no workaround. If a user clicks on the button, it should atleast return an error on ManyChat and Go to the next step, whether the subscription was successful or not. It is unreal that we have no updates yet.

Please, does someone know if the issue has been solved ?

Indeed, I have several problems with the "Get updates" button : half of times it does not even appears on the Messenger conversation and half of time it appears but when the person click on it, the person is not added on the Messenger list and the next step (a congratulation text message) does not appear.

After looking into it, we’ve confirmed that this is a bug on Meta’s side. We’ve already reported it to them and are pushing for a fix.

The good news is that about 60% of affected accounts seem to be working again, but some are still having the issue. Right now, Meta hasn’t given us a clear timeline for when everything will be fully resolved.

Thank you very much Rodrigo for your answer, but in the ither conversation I saw that Victor has posted a more recent answer saying all the issues should have been fixes :

Do you know please if other user still face this bug ?

​@Crazzzzy Since the Victor’s answer, I didn’t notice new threads about it. Also, this is a Meta bug so, every report should be made directly to Meta.
