Using AI step to qualify sales leads

Hi there,

I am sending a welcome message with a question to new followers and would like to start a lead qualification when they answer. The AI step seems to be really helpful, but I am not quite sure yet how and when to use it.

I have three questions which I would like to ask new followers to identify if they are potential customers, but I have some technical questions on how to set this up:

  • Is it possible to start an automation (incl. the AI Step) if a new follower responds to my welcome message which doesn’t contain a link? How would I start the automation with the AI step as soon as a follower responds?
  • Is the AI Step “smart enough” to skip questions if the first answer contains already all answers? How would I train the AI to do that?
  • Can I only give context within the AI step? I am working in a specialised domain and could give the AI much more context for the interaction (through files, chats with clients, example chats doing the qualification manually, etc.). Do I feed all this in the field “AI Step Context” or is there a better way? Maybe through ChatGPT integration?

Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Kat

Hey Kat , this is exactly why I built LeadVett.

Instead of wrestling with ManyChat logic trees to 'skip questions' or feed context, you just send them the LeadVett link. The AI is designed to analyze the entire response at once—so if they answer everything in the first sentence, the engine already has its 'clinical verdict' without needing a back-and-forth.

For your specialized domain, you can set specific 'Signal Rules' (e.g., '+20 points if they mention [Specific Industry Term]') so the AI scores them exactly like you would manually.

It takes 2 minutes to plug into ManyChat. Worth a 3-day trial to see if it saves you the build-time? leadvett.com
