🚨 Issue: Voiceflow Agent + ManyChat Instagram DM Not Responding Correctly

I’m using a Voiceflow Agent (the OmniFusion AI template) connected to ManyChat for Instagram DM.
Everything should run fully through Voiceflow, including the AI-generated buttons.
But I’m facing two big issues:

❌ 1. Sometimes the bot suddenly replies with just “true”

The conversation works for a few messages, and then out of nowhere ManyChat receives the response:

true

– No text
– No AI answer
– No buttons
– The flow breaks completely

It seems like Voiceflow stops sending normal responses and sends that “true” value instead.

❌ 2. Voiceflow generates buttons, but ManyChat never receives them

Inside Voiceflow, the agent does generate dynamic UI buttons (choices).
But ManyChat never receives those buttons in the response.

So Instagram cannot show:

• Quick Replies

• Choice buttons

• Any UI elements

This makes the DM agent feel incomplete and stops the user from continuing the flow naturally.

❌ 3. Voiceflow sometimes returns internal events only

Instead of sending a proper text response, Voiceflow sometimes only returns things like:

• Knowledge Base hits

• Reprompt / path events

• No-reply events

These are not real messages, so ManyChat can’t display anything — and the bot goes silent.

🔍 What I want the bot to do

I want my Instagram DM agent to:

✔ Work fully through Voiceflow
✔ Always send back a normal chat message
✔ Be able to display dynamic buttons
✔ Never send “true” as a response
✔ Stay consistent through the whole conversation

🙏 What I need help with

• Why is ManyChat randomly replying with “true” instead of a real response?

• How can I make ManyChat always send text + buttons so when VoiceFlow generates answers? Its important that my DM agent work flawlessly and can also send UI Buttons
