Question

You dont have enough money in your wallet to send next message

Theogekatex

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with my whatsapp automation where I cant reply to any customers via manychat even though they message first. It says “You don't have enough money in your Wallet to send the next message. Add funds to keep the conversation going.”

It is now a new month so the limits should have reset and it still won’t let me type anything.

I used chatgpt and it wasn’t sure what the problem was either as they messaged me first, I am trying to send a normal message not a temporary message, its only a couple hours after they messaged so it can’t be because 24 hours have passed.

Additionally, I have not passed my free messages limit and everything is definitely connected properly.

This issue has suddenly happened without me doing anything so I am very confused

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Your two posts are the same problem, and your Default Reply is almost certainly fine. Nothing can send, so every automation looks dead.

The confusing part is that you're right, replying inside the 24 hour window after a customer messages you is free. Meta made those service conversations free and only charges for templates now. But billing blocks on WhatsApp are account level, not per message. If the payment setup behind your WABA is broken, Meta stops everything, free messages included. That's error 131042 if you ever see it named.

Two places it can break, since ManyChat sits in the middle.

Their Wallet is a prepay balance that's separate from your plan's message allowance, so not having hit your free message limit tells you nothing about it. Settings, Billing, Wallet shows the actual balance.

If there's money in there and it still blocks, it's the credit line. ManyChat is your provider at Meta, so their credit line is attached to your WABA. That breaks if your WABA picked up its own payment method, if a previous provider's credit line is still on it, or if there's an unsettled balance. Open Meta's Billing Hub, pick the account you use for WhatsApp, then Payment methods and Credit lines.

Your line about it happening suddenly with nothing changing fits an unsettled charge or a dropped credit line better than anything you configured.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

I had a look at the credit line in manychat and it says shared.

Regarding the wallet, I have autorefill off and no money in that balance but I have never had to and it has worked fine.

The credit line in my meta business suite says default and high credit available

Is there a problem with any of this?

Thanks
