I just tried using an automation for TikTok, but wanted to verify. It looks like we can’t send active links in the DMs and just have to redirect them to the link in our bio? I was trying to collect emails but I’ve been getting and error with any and all emails sending through my verified domain, which means the only other means of delivering a freebie is through the DM’s, but I can’t connect a link to a Google Doc or my Stan Store. Am I missing anything?

Additionally, does ManyChat have any insight to the potential TikTok ban? I’m concerned about spending much time on my TT account if I only have 2 more weeks to use it.

Thanks so much!!

I’m with you on hedging against TT, but I’ll add that we definitely have more than a couple of weeks before any potential ban. The Supreme Court will hear TT’s appeal, and they will have time to sell the company rather than pull it from app stores. The law says that ByteDance/TT has to sell off part of the company, and the president can decide whether their sale is good enough to avoid a ban. We could end up with them selling a tiny minority stake to an American, and Trump basically letting it go.

Hey @meaganhall @fond.losangeles 👋

It’s been a rollercoaster of a weekend when it comes to the TikTok ban, but we’re glad to see that TikTok is available in the US again and the TikTok team has informed us that they’re working on restoring full functionality. But it’s important to note: we just launched TikTok (beta), but it’s not available in the US, Europe and UK yet. We’re working with the TikTok team to be able to open it up to folks in the US, so stay tuned for more updates!

About links in TikTok Inbox, TikTok business messaging currently doesn’t support clickable links. We recommend sending the links as separate message and ask your audience to paste into a browser or click on the link in bio (see example below). We are working with the TikTok team to make more features available, so there will be more enhancements coming soon!
