I have every thing set up all other automations work fine. But it will not connect “Follow to DM” and comes up with the message “ it isn’t available for your Instagram account. This feature is currently in beta.”

I checked other conversations and Raquel C (Manychat Community Manager) said 2-mths ago that…  “this feature is now available for all users”. I used the instructions here » https://community.manychat.com/product%2Dupdates/turn%2Devery%2Dfollow%2Dinto%2Da%2Dconversation%2Dintroducing%2Dfollow%2Dto%2Ddm%2D7628

and it still didn’t work? Any thoughts? Help?

Hi @Natatmanychat @SouthernRegister I’m sorry you’re having these issues, and thank you for tagging me. I can see how the information might cause confusion.

Since this feature is still in beta on Meta’s end, things might change as they continue testing. At the moment, Meta has set some limitations that are preventing certain Instagram accounts from accessing it, and it looks like your accounts are two of the ineligible ones for now.

Since Meta controls this, we aren’t able to pinpoint exactly what causes the restriction or say if or when it will be lifted in the future. Please rest assured that this limitation isn’t caused by your actions in Manychat and doesn’t mean something is broken. It’s just part of the current beta process.

Following this. Ours was working and sending to new followers, then it stopped sending and now says it’s in Beta and not available to our account.

Hi @Natatmanychat  I am sorry to hear you account has a limitation for this feature. I guess the best you can do is to contact Meta support team directly,  If you have ad spend history, try to access Meta Business Support chat inside Business Manager  and Submit the case.

Cheer!

Mine was enabled and then disabled a few weeks later. I don’t see how I lost it, I don’t spam or anything. Its actually just been sent 3 times.

This happened to an account of a friend as well.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

Same message, makes Manychat useless. Great in theory but fails in practice. I hope that Manychat didn’t pay too much for all their sponsored reels/stories as there’s going to be a lot of disappointed users out there. I was going to use this feature on my business but now there’s no point.

Same here. First this automation started having issues some weeks ago and followers wouldn’t get a DM, now I can’t even activate this feature. It’s a bummer, it was very effective.

If you are in Europe or Japan, this feature may not be available to you. See below articles from facebook:

FROM FAECBOOK:

Some messaging campaign features and metrics unavailable due to privacy rules in Europe and Japan

Due to privacy rules in Europe and Japan, some messaging campaign features may be unavailable for ads delivered to and from Europe and/or Japan. Messaging campaigns are ad campaigns where Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp are the conversion location for campaigns where the call-to-action button directs people to a Meta messaging platform. Messaging-related campaign features that may be affected include audiences, targeting, optimizations, performance reporting, metrics and others.

These privacy rules also affect features of organic messaging and Messaging API features.
