Hello 👋 

I want to create an automation that works like this:

  1. Trigger: Someone mentions or tags our business account (@business) in a comment on another person's or business's Instagram post
  2. Detection: Manychat detects this mention/tag even though it happened outside our own posts
  3. Action: Automatically send a DM to the person who tagged us
  4. Message : Thank them for the mention and potentially start a conversation flow
  5. Reply in the comment section: Thanks for mention and tell that we have DM them

Has anyone successfully set up something similar?

At the moment, this trigger is not available in ManyChat, so it cannot be used. Triggers can only be activated when the interaction happens directly on your own profile or in collaborative posts. In those cases, it’s possible to trigger an automation.

You can visit the Ideas section (https://community.manychat.com/ideas) and submit this as a suggestion for a new feature. Other community members can vote on it, and ManyChat may recognize it as something important.
