+1I would like to have this feature as well.
My use case:
I send Instagram leads to an external calendar including the Manychat contactID as hidden parameter.
When they book an appointment, I create a WhatsApp contact via API and have the Instagram contactID saved to a user field. I also have phone and email set and transfer the data to the Instagram account and now I would like to merge the two Manychat contacts into one automatically.
But unfortunately there is no option to do so. Neither in the chat actions nor in the API. Updating or creating a contact via API replies: “contact already exists”.
