From a company/business aspect: we need the ability to schedule a code to go live at a later date! For example, I want to use a code like JUNE24 that will be active in June, but I can’t create it ahead of time because then if someone comments with the word “June” it’ll send them a link that’s not public knowledge yet. I have to set a reminder for the day before to make the code live, which is so unideal!

So you create the keyword, but before replying you check the condition that the current date is after June 24th for example.
