I just had an idea which I think can be a great addition to the roadmap and can be an excellent revenue driver for Manychat.

Insight

Large majority of social media referral traffic to Amazon comes from YouTube.

The majority of this traffic typically come from video descriptions, however, just like “Link in my bio” on other social media channels, it requires more effort from users.
In light of rising short form videos, (YouTube Shorts for eg.) most users don’t even see the description without considerable extra effort.

Product feature recommendation
An integration with YouTube Channel API and the development of the “keyword” trigger in YouTube comments could prompt thousands of affiliates with YouTube content to join Manychat and leverage this feature.

A quick scan of the YouTube Channel API suggests that there are calls for retrieving comment data, including the text string which could help with detecting the keyword for a comment response by the channel owner:

Use case
YouTube Channel Owner/Creator develops commercial/affiliate content with Amazon (or Target, Walmart etc).
Creator builds in Secondary Call-To-Action to let audience know they can get the link easily if they comment “keyword”.
Manychat integration triggers automatic response to audience commenter with affiliate link. (potentially paying for Manychat subscription with 1 sale)

Creator benefit(s)
Boosted commercial performance as there are now additional ways of driving affiliate traffic, sales and commission performance
YT comments boost channel engagement metrics => generates favourable algorithmic signals for creator

Educational considerations
YouTube’s objective is to keep users as long as possible on their platform to maximise ad revenue, thus Manychat customer success and education should mention not to go overboard with this technology and have a healthy balance between content that promotes “YouTube binging” versus driving users off of YouTube.
