I am writing to request an expansion of your platform's functionality to allow dynamic file and audio uploads via links, similar to how images can currently be uploaded in your interface. As can be seen in the existing interface, there is an option to "Upload image or insert URL" for images. I would like to request similar functionality for audio files and other documents, so that they can be uploaded dynamically or added via a link to an external file. This addition would be very significant for me and other users, as it would allow us to create voice responses using artificial intelligence technologies and seamlessly integrate them into the chatbot.I would appreciate your consideration of this request and its implementation in a future update of the platform.
Use case:A scenario in which a client sends an image (for example, via WhatsApp), and it is automatically transferred to third-party systems such as n8n, CRM, or cloud storage, without using CUF.The problem it solves:It is currently impossible to transfer images directly via an External Request in ManyChat. This creates inconveniences for users who need to quickly transfer files and photos without unnecessary steps, such as saving data to CUF.Why is this a critical feature?:The lack of the ability to directly transfer images limits the use cases of ManyChat, reducing the efficiency of automation and integration. The proposed solutionis to add the ability to use a system field or variable that automatically captures a link to an image sent by the user and transmits it in the body of an External Request.Functional:System variable: Add a variable, for example, {{last_image_url}}, which is automatically filled with a link to the last image sent by the client.Support in the External Request: Allow you to include this variable in the body of the JSON request.Example of the External Request body:json{ "user_id": "{{user_id}}", "name": "{{first_name}} {{last_name}}", "photo_url": "{{last_image_url}}" }Image Processing: The ManyChat server must temporarily save images to its storage and provide their URL for transmission.Product Area:Integrations, Applications, and APIsAdditional comments:This feature will make ManyChat more convenient for users who need to quickly transfer images to third-party systems without additional CUF settings.Usage example:The client sends the image to WhatsApp.ManyChat automatically captures the link to the image. In an External Request, the data along with the image is transferred to n8n or another system.
To be able to add User Fields in List Message buttons, so we can dynamically display content (based on an API or other logic inside Manychat) Related request:
It’s surprising to see that other platforms, which don’t even offer Instagram or Messenger automation, already have WhatsApp Flow, while ManyChat still does not.As the largest Meta-authorized automation platform, ManyChat has always led the way in implementing cutting-edge features. That’s why it’s unexpected to see WhatsApp Flow available elsewhere first. In Brazil, I work with several clients who prioritize WhatsApp automation over Instagram and Messenger. Many of them have been choosing weaker platforms that lack AI and other advanced automations simply because they support WhatsApp Flow.I believe this is a crucial feature for ManyChat to remain the go-to automation platform for Meta products. Can we get an official update on whether WhatsApp Flow is in development and when we can expect it to be available? This would be an absolute game-changer for my clients and many other users worldwide.
Unable to collect DATE as USER INPUT on WhatsApp
Being able to have Delay, not by time but until contact’s reply.
Hello, can you add possibility to save all user/bot reply in AI STEP for whatsapp. And maybe add possibility to send them to external webhook.thanks you
Possibility to transcribe audio on whatsapp
Manychat doesn’t show WhatsApp user icons. Why is this important? This will improve the navigability through a large number of contacts. It will make using the chat way friendlier as some users’ default names are a bunch of icons or even a period 😅. It would be great to put a face to a number as real estate agents have to meet their customers in real life. It gets awkward when the customer notices that the agent isn't able to easily recognize them. as they assume you have seen their avatar.
In Latin America people use Whatsapp mostly with voice/audio messages. It would be great to be able to trigger automations when someone just sends an audio. It would be easy to transcribe that with the ChatGTP API and then process like a normal message...
Add this feature for WhatsApp, currently working for Instagram but it isn’t on WhatsApp. Other platforms already have this.
Dear ManyChat Team,I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to address an issue I encountered yesterday while trying to connect WhatsApp through ManyChat. Although I’ve been able to use ManyChat for other purposes, I was met with an error message stating, “ManyChat is not available in your country,” when attempting to integrate WhatsApp.I understand that this might be related to US government regulations, but I’ve noticed that Kazakhstan is not subject to such restrictions. I even tried using a US phone number, as suggested in the WhatsApp integration section, and while the payment went through successfully, the same error message appeared.Kazakhstan is home to a growing number of small and medium-sized businesses that could greatly benefit from ManyChat’s features, and I believe there is tremendous potential for ManyChat to thrive in this market. I would greatly appreciate any insights or guidance on how to resolve this issue and explore the possibility of expanding ManyChat’s WhatsApp integration to Kazakhstan.Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to hearing from you soon.Best regards,Abulkhayr
Subject: Suggestion to Integrate WhatsApp Native Payment via Razorpay for India and SingaporeDear ManyChat Team,I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to suggest an exciting new feature that could significantly enhance the user experience for ManyChat users, especially in India and Singapore. As WhatsApp Native Payment is now available in both countries, integrating this payment option into ManyChat would be highly beneficial for businesses and users. Here in India, Razorpay is one of the most popular and trusted payment gateways. It supports both local and foreign currencies, making it versatile for SMBs using Meta's ecosystem. Razorpay also seamlessly integrates with many platforms, and having it connected through WhatsApp’s Native Payment API/SDK (readily available via Meta) would streamline the payment process, making transactions faster and smoother for customers. This integration would be a valuable addition for businesses relying on ManyChat and WhatsApp to manage their operations, especially in regions where WhatsApp is a major communication channel.Looking forward to your thoughts and any updates on this potential feature.Warm regards & Love, Kunal Patankar from India
Currently we can obtain what the user's last text entry was, but we cannot obtain the link if the last message was an image or file. For more complex uses of artificial intelligence and automation, it would be very useful to have access to the file link sent by the user on WhatsApp.This way, it would be possible to send the image so that an AI could interpret its content. Currently, I have an assistant who responds perfectly to all WhatsApp users, but she cannot handle proof of payment, for example.
I just found out that the Export PSIDs option in the Contacts page of manychat is only available for Messenger contacts and it isn’t supported for WhatsApp contacts. Including this for WhatsApp would be really helpful
If Instagram quick replies are 3 or less, please convert them to WhatsApp Buttons!
By default, manychat marks all the user messages with the double blue check. Users are then very upset when they don´t receive an immediate reply. It would be nice being able to disable this, and I don´t think it is a major change. Thanks!
Connecting WhatsApp is a very poor experience in Manychat. Can you please fix this feature so we can connect WhatsApp numbers in a more streamlined and simplified way?I was unable to do so from my Manychat account for a client and we have an open case:
Hello! Currently, Manychat does not recognize audio files when a WhatsApp user sends one. This takes the user's last text message, but for a more humanized interaction, it would be great if Manychat had something that identified that the user sent audio so that the audio could be transcribed and responded to.
It would be really great to have Whatsapp lite integration which can be added just by scanning QR code from whatsapp link device and can be used for normal conversation instead of just use it broadcasting messages.
Send automated messages to whatsapp communities to notify up to thousands of people for events that are happening. This is not for marketing. This is for Public Service Agencies to notify people of events that are happening in the area.
I can’t search a user via api to know if it’s already within my contacts and eventually just sending him a new content
Automate a way to generate payment links and be sent via Whatsapp.
When looking to create a template or broadcast message which includes Variable fields for right to left languages such as Arabic, the text order and format gets ruined because you are trying to include English characters in an Arabic text paragraph. As such, we are currently unable to publish Arabic broadcasts that include Variable fields. The order of the words and text simply gets ruined because it is trying to accomodate right to left and left to right simultaneously.
