Hey everyone!I want to set up a fully functional comment-to-DM automation on Instagr@m with a lead qualification flow using Manychat. After capturing the user’s name and phone number, I want to know:Can I automatically send them a message or flow on Whatsapp via Manychat once they’re qualified?Basically, I’m trying to move a lead from IG to WhatsAppAnyone done this before or know if it’s possible?Thanks!

Previously, we had "Custom Fields" where I could set a condition with a Custom Field, an Operation, and a Value (e.g., Custom Field + Operation + Value). Now, it seems to have changed to "User Custom Field" with only Tag and Value options, and I can no longer set specific conditions like before.I need this functionality for a quiz where I calculate scores based on user answers. I want to sum up the responses and store the final score in a Custom Field. Additionally, I collect user data (e.g., name) before the quiz starts, and I need to export the quiz results, including the score, to Google Sheets under the same name as the user who completed the quiz.1. How can I restore or replicate the old Custom Field setup (Custom Field + Operation + Value) to sum quiz answers?2. Hi team! I'm using the AI Step on Instagram Direct with the Manychat AI add-on activated. I’d like to know if there’s a way to add delays between AI-generated responses to make them feel more natural and human — as if the assistant is taking time to type each part.I’m also wondering if it’s possible to enable the “typing…” effect (typing indicator) within the AI Step, or if that only works with regular message blocks.I’ve already tested using a Smart Delay after the AI Step, but that only works between blocks, not within a single AI response that has multiple sentences.So my main question is:Is there any way to insert delays and typing effects between phrases generated by the same AI Step?Thanks so much for the support! ✨

After two succesful DM automation for Instagram I stubled upon an issue. I cannot carry on with automation for specific reels/ posts as I cannot see any new reels/posts I made in last 3 days. I tried to refresh Instagram connection on Manychat but nothing happens. HELP!

Hello!I have the free version.    I am trying to set up a flow that simply responds to an Instagram comment with a public comment reply.  I do not want it to send a DM.  When I set up the trigger for “respond to comment on post or reel”, it walks me through steps within the trigger itself to pick the post and set up some replies, which I have done. But then it requires me to add a second step. I don’t need or want another step but it won’t work without one.  The only second step in the flow I can see to add is “send message” and I have tried adding that and setting it to comment only, but it is sending it as a DM.I really just want it to reply with the few replies I set up in trigger. How do I get it to do that?thanks in advancejean

at the top of my screen it always says I need to refresh permissions and it never works. My automations seem to be working but it worries me. It also shows my “company name” through Meta Business as a name that is NOT my business, it was a business I owned 5 years ago and it is no longer active. Any advice on what I can do?

I have seen repeated reports & questions regarding buttons not sending / quick replies not working - going as far back as 1y ago. No Manychat support provided other than some vague “reset your permissions” or send link without buttons (not great of you are trying to get emails in platform and have advanced automations with follow ups).Does anyone actually have a plausible explanation and suggested fix? I personally suspect the devices playing a role as Iphone seems to have the most success. Given that Android is far more common globally, you’d think this ranks a bit higher in terms of finding a solution?

I need to verify my ManyChat issued phone number again in Whatsapp Business manager (see screenshot). But I can not find where in manychat I can receive this SMS. How can I simply reverify my phone number?Extra info: My phone number was created with a Manychat pro subscription, I now do not have this subscription anymore and I don't use Manychat anymore. But still Manychat has the phone number, and I do want to keep the phone number. How can I do this? 

Hi team!I recently was creating a new account for a client using Instagram as a channel. I filled the usual survive and then I proceeded to visit the Settings tab for Instagram channel and I noticed a Dataset was already connected.This dataset was definitely created by ManyChat as this is also a brand new Business Manager; I don’t remember what was the question that triggered the dataset creation but I definitely think you should display a clear note that states a dataset will be created, ideally with a toggle to enable or disable this step.Reason for these suggestions is that not everyone (myself included) are happy with assets like this being created automatically without a proper notification.

This is a first. I will run through my set up and then the "error". At 5:30pm, Sunday through Saturday an scenario in Make.com will trigger to gather the information of appointment data (Acuity Scheduling) of the next day and send an appointment reminder to either confirm, re-schedule or cancel their appointment. Every patient in Acuity must have their own phone number in order to send the reminder through WhatsApp. I first look for the contact in Manychat with the phone number as a custom field. If the contact doesn't exists, it is created. After that, I update some of the contact's custom fields that contain the appointment data and finally I send the message using the "Send Flow" module of Manychat in Make.com.This has been working good for over a month now. I’m having an issue with sending messages through Make after a user sends us a DM on Instagram.Here’s the situation: A user sends a new message (text or DM reply) That should reset the 24-hour interaction window, right? But when I try to send a follow-up message using Make + ManyChat API, it still says the interaction is outside the window. I’ve verified that the user replied within the last few minutes, but it’s like ManyChat doesn’t detect it in time or doesn’t update the window properly.

Hi Community 👋I have a subscriber whose contact information in ManyChat shows “Opted-In for WhatsApp” However, when I try to send them a flow using the sendFlow API, I get this error: "Content can’t be sent to the subscriber without a message tag. Subscriber’s last interaction was over 58h ago (more than 24 hours ago)."  I assumed that being marked as “Opted-In for WhatsApp” would allow messages outside the 24-hour window, but apparently not? Could someone please clarify: Does "Opted-In for WhatsApp" allow sending after 24h? Note I am sending message_tag: "CONFIRMED_EVENT_UPDATE".

Hi :)I’m sending a request to Manychat to create a WhatsApp Contact. If the contact already exists, I receive a 400 (makes sense). The thing I can’t seem to understand is how do I update a contact that already exists and only has a “whatsapp_phone” as a field I can refer to. I can’t use the findBySystemField request to find the ID (because the contact doesn’t have a phone or email in Manychat) and I can’t update the contact without the ID.Please help!Thanks

I am on a Free Plan. I am using Auto-DM Links From Comments feature. I have created 4 automations. My Free Contacts Limit is 0/1000.I am not using any Pro Feature.Now I am unable to create new automation. As I press the Go Live button, it prompts me to buy Pro Version.Please help to resolve this problem or please share email or something which can connect me directly to Manychat team. Thank you.

Am I able to collect contact info on free version using DM’s or do I need pro version, and if possible with free version can someone direct me on how I would set that up to collect say their email. Thank you.

I was filling the basic information for the use of  manychat pro, and when I put my identification code for Brazil (cpf) the system reported  “there is an issue” and didn’t show what was wrong. It cant do it,  because the information i gave was 100% right.   I don’t have a support to help. Who on earth believe that they can automatize everything?I need a human help

hi there,  Im wondering about using many chat to push people to a trivia page with Quiz Questions to warm up potential attendees to quiz events.  It would look like this -  Ad is running for a Harry Potter quiz evening event. The ad is pushing people to the ticket purchasing page. Within the Ad is a prompt for people to comment something like ‘comment POTTER10 and we will send you 10 free questions that will be asked on the night to prepare you’ the viewer would then comment POTTER10 and a message would then be sent to their inbox with a link to the page with the 10 questions and answers.  Am I able to do this? I want to the AD to go to the ticket purchase page. I DONT want the ad to be solely for the purpose of sending them the link to the questions.  Is this possible? Thanks in advance! Andrew
